DISASTER RELIEF
Supplies for Western NC & Drop-Off Location at MUMC See Details
Supply List:

Bottled water of any size, especially 1-gallon or multi-gallon jugs

Electrolyte packets like Gatorade and bottles of Gatorade

Water purification tablets
-
Non-perishable food (canned & dry goods), especially MREs (Scout camping style: boil the water & add to make the pasta for example) or pop-top style cans (also welcome can openers)

Disposable utensils
-
Cleaning supplies (disinfectants, paper towels, gloves) & large garbage bags
-
Hygiene Kits OR soap, shampoo, toothpaste, feminine hygiene products
-
Baby supplies (diapers, ready-made formula – does not need water, and wipes)

Dog & Cat food
-
NO CLOTHES needed at this time.
ROOM IN THE INN
Requested donations include new or gently used coats, sweatshirts, sweaters, belts, toboggans. (No pants, dress shirts or shoes). Please place items in the RITI cabinets in the Gym Reception Area.
TRAVEL-SIZE TOILETRIES NEEDED
Global Impact is collecting travel-size toiletries: Shampoo, Deodorant, Lotion, Soap, Toothpaste, Toothbrushes, Disposable Razors & Disposable Washcloths for our Room In The Inn (RITI) winter guests. Please leave in the Gym Reception cabinet marked for RITI.
FEED THE PEOPLE
This MUMC-sponsored ministry and Global Impact Missions partner -- through Matthews Help Center, Union County Crisis Assistance and other organizations -- helps provide food for those in need in our local community. Monetary donations are accepted (please notate "Feed the People" on your form of giving to Matthews UMC) as well as jars of Peanut Butter, which are collected the first Sunday of each month.
