Connecting with Your Roots: Succulent Potting

July 25, 10-11:30 am, limited to first 12 registrants
Join in as we observe the adaptability of succulents and discuss the importance of healthy soil and growing conditions as well as the parallels to our own mental health. We will create a pot of succulents while exploring the plants' abilities to find what they need through their unique root structure, and ways that participants can seek out healthy resources in their own lives. Participants will leave with their own plants to care for at home. Register Here, Cost: $30.

NAMI Family Support Groups

Third Wednesdays each month, at 6:30 pm in Room 152
This free support group is for any adult who has someone in their life with a mental health condition. It can be very challenging to "care" for someone with a mental illness; sharing these challenges with others who are experiencing the same issues can help you gain knowledge and hope.
Register here - Please select Family Support Group at Matthews on the right side after you complete the form with your name, email & phone. Groups led by the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), an organization that informs and supports people who have loved ones with a mental health condition.

Monthly Focus

Mindfulness & Holy Presence
In a world that demands our constant attention, mindfulness helps us stay grounded in the present moment, reducing "racing thoughts" and improving emotional regulation. It is a modern practice with deep roots in our tradition of contemplative prayer and being still before God.
