LUMBERTON SERVICE DAYS
Sign up to serve and rebuild damaged homes in Lumberton. A day trip is scheduled for Saturday, April 1, leaving at 6:30am and returning by 7:30pm. Matthews UMC is a "vaccinated site" for our homeless neighbors on Thursday nights from December-March. We need VOLUNTEERS as bus drivers, overnight hosts, clothing closet helpers, laundry coordinator, and desserts or breakfast coordinators. Is God calling you to help the homeless? This organization helps women build new lives beyond prison walls. Changed Choices exists so that women who have experienced incarceration may lead restored lives marked by healthy decisions, self-sufficiency and contribution to their communities Show God's love by joining the card-writing team for Changed Choices. GREENWAY PARK ELEMENTARY
There are lots of ways to serve: Be a lunchroom helper or a breakfast buddy; Re-shelve books in the Media Center; Start your day running with a group of students; Make copies and assist teachers working with small groups; Help at school events such as Field Day, Book Fair, Beautification Day, Movie Night, Bingo Night, or "Someone Special" Dance; Read with a kindergarten buddy; or Be an Augustine Literacy Project tutor. MATTHEWS HELP CENTER
Matthews HELP Center provides short-term crisis assistance to neighbors in the Matthews community. Volunteer for a four-hour shift, from 9am-1pm or from 1pm-5pm. You can greet donors, sort donations, inspect clothing and help customers. Contact Ida Riddick for more info.
THE MALES PLACE
The Males Place is a new Global Impact Partner. This organization mentors young African American males, ages 12-18, with a mission to provide comprehensive and educational programming and life skills training.
