Sunday morning services meet in person at 8:15 & 11:00 (Traditional) and 9:30 (Contemporary) in the Sanctuary. The 9:30 & 11:00 services are live streamed to MatthewsUMC.org/Live, Vimeo, YouTube, and Facebook. When viewing from the website, our Church Online interface will launch, and you can sign in using any email to chat with others for a more meaningful experience. Livestream FAQs
Traditional Worship
Sundays at 8:15 & 11:00 am in the Sanctuary
This is a service where tradition meets today. Held in the Sanctuary and rich in the Wesleyan faith, the traditional services at MUMC provide liturgical readings and embrace a spirited modern feel. These services include time-honored hymns that are led by organ, our Sanctuary Choir and other musical ensembles, and offers a chance to worship in the Sanctuary with others who share a desire for a traditional worship experience. There are many opportunities for prayer enhanced with traditional and progressive liturgy. These services allow those in worship to hear God's Word spoken through individuals from the body of Christ. Contemporary Worship
Sundays at 9:30 am in the Sanctuary
This contemporary, energetic and responsive worship is led by our Praise Team and incorporates various dramatic and technical media, reinforcing the messages of Jesus Christ through creative, expressive art forms. An outward, energetic tone prevails in this more casual atmosphere held in the Sanctuary. Bible verses are delivered through readers and contextualized for the modern times through the Pastor's weekly message. Prayer is also an important part of the service. United Kids Family Worship
The Second Sunday Each Month at 9:30 am in the Gym
This is where kids bring their family to worship! Our purpose is to worship God together and partner with families, equipping each with a better understanding of God's Word. Together, we reflect on what we learn from the Bible and apply it in our daily lives. Enjoy dancing, singing, skits, games, and engaging Bible teaching! United Youth Worship
Sundays Nights During the School Year at 6:30 pm in the Sanctuary
During the school year, Youth gather for a time of worship with a short lesson that introduces a topic for the night. Worship is preceded by dinner together in The Commons and is followed by age-level small groups with an adult leader. Centro Cristiano Hosanna Spanish-Speaking Worship
Sundays at 12:30 pm in the Sanctuary
