We honor and celebrate the wisdom of our older adults. At Matthews UMC we provide a welcoming environment with accessible worship experiences to ensure that everyone, regardless of age or ability, can fully participate in our community. We provide resources such as large-print Bibles and hearing devices to ensure that older adults can fully engage in our services. Additionally, our live-streamed services allow those who are unable to attend in person to participate from the comfort of their homes.
We offer a variety of opportunities for connection within our Matthews community. From shared meals to entertainment events, travel outings, crafting sessions, and small group gatherings, there's something for everyone to enjoy and connect with others who share similar interests and experiences.
Whether it be our Traditional worship services, featuring classic organ-led hymns, a choir, and scriptural messages delivered in a traditional format. Or our contemporary worship services led by our dynamic Praise Band, where modern music and a relaxed atmosphere create an uplifting worship experience.
