The Great Interruption

The Great Interruption

Published December 23, 2024

1st Sunday of Christmas
Just these lines, my friends …

… to say that the 4th Sunday of Advent is always one of my favorite of the season. It was our Children’s Nativity, when our children enact for us the birth of Jesus at the end of each of our worship services. Our mayor, John Higdon said, “It is my favorite worship service of the year.” It is for many. If you missed being with us, you can worship by clicking here.

May this holiday season nourish your spirit,
Nurture your hope,
And inspire you to continue loving your neighbor.

Wednesday Devotional

I hope you’ll watch my Christmas message for you, called The Great Interruption.

Update on General Fund Giving for 2024

We are continually amazed at the generous nature and giving spirit of our Church community, especially during times of great need, such as hurricane relief, capital campaign, etc. To ensure that we can continue the outreach and ministries of our church, we are humbly asking you to dig a bit deeper. To meet our tithing goal, we need $163,276 between now and December 31. You can click here to make a gift now and review Year-End Giving Guidelines here.

This Sunday in Worship

This Sunday (December 29), we will have ONE Combined Worship Service at 9:30 am in the Sanctuary (no 8:15 or 11:00 am services). Nursery will be available for Kids 3 & under from 9:30 – 10:30 am; Adult classes meet at 10:30; No Kids or Youth small groups. Pastor Paul will be preaching.

Our Spanish-speaking CCH (Centro Cristiano Hosanna) community will gather at 11:30 am for their last service of the year. Pastor Roldan will be sharing from I Samuel 2:18-20. His message is titled Let’s Keep Renewing Ourselves.

And now, as always, during these strange, uncertain, and hopeful days, remember … God does God’s best work in moments like this.

We are Better Together.
