Beth Merchant grew up in Tuscaloosa, AL, the middle child of five. Beth married her husband Ken in 1976, and they moved to Matthews in 1989, and then to Indian Trail in 2019. They have three daughters, one son, and eight grandchildren! Beth was a kindergarten teacher for 7 years, then a preschool teacher and director for 36 years, before retiring in 2018. Beth enjoys pickleball, scrapbooking, reading, and cooking.

Fun Fact – She spent a semester in Ireland during high school with her parents and two younger siblings
Childhood Dream – To be a teacher, baker or a librarian; Beth and her siblings played school growing up & her older sisters taught her how to read when she was only three.
