In 2024 and 2025, several members of Matthews UMC had the privilege of traveling to Kenya to witness firsthand the profound impact of Zoe Empowers. This Global Impact Partner works with vulnerable youth and their families impacted by the global orphan crisis in East African countries like Kenya, Zimbabwe, Malawi, and more. Through a three-year, locally-led program, participants become safe and healthy, skilled for long-term success, and able to lead meaningful lives within a supportive community.
