Traditional Christmas Eve Candlelight Worship 9 & 11 PM
The Matthews UMC Chancel Choir, Stumptown Brass and Joyful Ringers Handbell Choir will lead our Christmas Eve Candlelight Worship at 9:00 pm in the Sanctuary (livestreamed from homepage). Communion is open to all and will be offered during the service.

*Nursery (3 & under) provided for all services, except 9 & 11 pm.
At Matthews, we believe that the Church is FOR the community … FOR the world, and just like every Christmas – we’ll be giving 100% of our Christmas Eve offering to help local and global organizations. Recipients for this year will be Matthews HELP Center, Western NC Disaster Relief, and Home2Home Ministries. Contribute until Dec 31 by indicating “Christmas Eve Offering” in your check memo line, on the envelope, or in the drop-down menu online. Join us this Christmas Eve for a service filled with familiar Christmas songs, luminaries leading us to the nativity scene, and a powerful reminder that God is FOR us.
There will be ONE combined morning worship December 29 at 9:30 am in the Sanctuary.
