Q: Where is the church located?
Location: The church is located at 801 South Trade Street in Matthews, NC, 28105. As you head out of town on Trade Street, we are on the left just past the fire station and Matthews Elementary.
Q: Where do I park?
There are two parking lots, a small lot on the Sanctuary side of the building and a large lot on The Commons and Children's side of the building. If you are a first-time guest, there are spaces designated for you near the road in the large parking lot.
Q: What time are the worship services on Sunday?
8:15am – Traditional Worship
9:30am – Contemporary Worship
11:00am – Traditional Worship
12:30pm – Centro Cristiano Hosanna Spanish-Speaking Worship
Q: What about my kids?
Your children are welcome to attend worship with you or attend their age-level group. If you want your children to attend the nursery or a small group by age-level, it is best to enter in the Children's wing located under the covered portico entrance at the rear of the building. There is a check-in desk located just inside the entrance. One of our Children's Team volunteers will be excited to welcome you and lead you where you need to go. Click on the "Age Levels" menu section for room information!
Q: What about classes for children with disablities?
Groups are offered for school-aged children and can be found here on the main menu under the "Age Levels" tab. Access kids and teens weekly online resources if you are worshipping from home.
Q: Where can I go on Sunday to have my questions answered in person?
The Welcome Center located by the Sanctuary is staffed by volunteers every Sunday morning. Volunteers can answer your questions and help guide you to the Sunday classes.
Q: Will I have to say anything, sign anything, or be singled out in any way?
You will not be put on the spot. There will be a registration card/pad passed during worship where everyone has the opportunity to share information or not.
Q: What other options are available outside of Sunday worship services?
We encourage you to look through our church website to find out about all the offerings for all age groups. Matthews UMC is a multi-generational congregation, so we have ministries available throughout the week for you!
Q: What should I wear to church?
We encourage you to dress in what you are most comfortable wearing.
Q: Where do people gather to socialize?
The Commons, accessed through the arched window entry from the large parking lot, is our gathering space where you can enjoy time socializing and meeting new people.

On the main menu, click on News & Events for the church calendar and to sign up for the church newsletter and pastor's blog!
Q: How do I register for group studies, missions, and events?
REALM is the connection and registration tool within the church. Please call the church at 704-847-6261 ext. 110 to request an invitation to join REALM. Registrations that are open to the public are found on our calendar located on the homepage.
