Advent Study Groups – Prepare the Way for the Lord

Men Serving at Monthly Breakfast Image

Advent calls us to prepare the way of the Lord in our lives and in our world.

In those days John the Baptist appeared in the desert of Judea announcing, "Change your hearts and lives! Here comes the kingdom of heaven!" He was the one of whom Isaiah the prophet spoke when he said: The voice of one shouting in the wilderness,
"Prepare the way for the Lord; make his paths straight."

Advent 2022

Goup Study: "Prepare the Way for the Lord" by Adam Hamilton
Explore the Advent themes of John's life and ministry, and how John calls all followers of Jesus to prepare our hearts for His coming. In each of the Gospels, the story of Jesus is intertwined with that of His cousin John, the one whom the prophets foretold would come to "prepare the way of the Lord." When we hear the message of John the Baptist, it makes us and our world ready to receive Christ.
