Learning from Stories of Women in the Bible

Women's Study
Thursdays, April 18 to May 23 from 10:00 to 11:30am

Most of us are familiar with the old saying that one cannot truly understand what someone else is experiencing until we walked a mile in that person's shoes. Through this six-week Sisters study, participants will attempt to do just that by examining the lives of six remarkable women (Deborah, Rahab, Hagar, Abigail, Hannah, and the widow with the oil) whose stories are told in the Old Testament.

The goal of A Mile in Her Shoes is to help you experience the intense level and commitment that these six Old Testament women possessed. The reading for each day immerse us in the story of their lives. Day One of each week offers an overview of each woman and her special circumstances. On Day Two through Day Six, the readings and Scriptures highlight specific segments of each woman's life. In addition, Day Six offers an opportunity to put your self--as much as possible--in each woman's shoes, imagining what it was like to be her and learning from her strength and faithfulness.
