DESCRIPTION:8th Grade Mission Experience\nUnited Youth’s 8th Grade 2026 Mission Experience is a wonderful opportunity for youth to step out in faith to engage with God’s mission somewhere in the world.\nYouth will prepare for the experience with 3 mandatory training days, then head out to a rural community from June 15 – June 19, for a life changing experience, full of God moments and service opportunities. Youth will get to swing a hammer, turn a wrench, and learn to love your neighbor in a brand new way.\n*2026 Trip location will be announced soon.*\nDownload Sample Mission Trip Support Letter\nUse this to let you friends and family know what you’re doing to build God’s Kingdom here on earth and how they can be a part of it.\nSTEP #1: Registration is now closed. Please contact Pastor Corey with any questions.\nStep #2: Sign-Up for Remind 101 ( https://matthewsumc.org/youth/parent-communication-and-release-forms/#remind ) (This will be our primary way of communicating during the trip, please be sure to register in order to receive updates.)\nStep #3: Please complete the updated Youth Release Waiver ( https://matthewsumc.org/youth/parent-communication-and-release-forms/ ) to finalize your registration.\nCOST\nRegistration: $430.00\n*The cost does not include any tools that you’ll need. Plan to purchase about $50 worth of tools, if you don’t already have them. The church has a limited number of tools you can use if you need help, or even better, you can connect with a previous youth to reuse their tools.
